What to Expect?

Assessment

History
This involves answering questions about what has brought you to the clinic, previous injuries, and relevant medical history.
A comprehensive history will help diagnose and determine factors that will affect treatment and rehab protocols.

Physical Assessment
Typically you will be asked to perform different movements actively and passively because this will help determine underlying issues that may contribute to your current condition. At this stage, orthopedic tests are commonly used to differentiate similar conditions.

Treatment

A typical session will involve hands-on treatment. The nature of this treatment depends entirely on the working diagnosis.

All treatment methods applied are evidence-based, and the treatment plan is specific to you. This will give you the best results possible from your very first session to your last.

Rehab

A personalised rehab plan will be created for you on your first visit, then progressed after each follow-up appointment.

Each plan will contain a number of exercises that should be carried out at home. This could include breathing exercises, stretches, or strengthening exercises to name a few.

It is essential that the exercises are performed to the best of your ability because consistency is key to the success of the rehab process.

You are not alone! You can get in touch for further advice, or just a bit of moral support.
